Working pattern: Monday to Friday
Hours of work: 37.5 per week
Length of appointment: Permanent

As a member of our client's Project Worker Team, reporting to the Services Manager the Employment & Volunteering Project Worker is responsible for delivering their range of employment, volunteering and training opportunities aimed at supporting individuals out of the spiral of homelessness and back into mainstream society.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the delivery of their learning and development service providing opportunities for service users to access employment, volunteering and training that help promote self development.
  • To provide a variety of drop in, fixed appointments and small group work around employment support, e.g. job searching, job applications and interview preparation and job sustainment.
  • To support their Social Enterprises by providing support to their Service User to engage in the volunteering, learning and employment opportunities available within the Cleaning and Catering teams.
  • To manage the ‘Back to Work’ fund for Services Users to ensure they have the practical resources they need to get into and remain in work.
  • To support the management, development and running of the charity's work placements schemes with external placement providers.
  • To work with a small team of Volunteers - General Employment Support and Employment Coach roles to enhance the support offered to Services Users going through employment, volunteering or training opportunities.
  • Ensure that accurate records are kept to document the support services provided to their service users. Ensuring that record keeping meets the requirements of internal and external monitoring of outcomes, assisting with reports to funders and supplying timely information to support funding applications.
  • Note - this is not an exhaustive list and you may be required to perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Services Manager and/or CEO.
