We are recruiting to the role of Strategic Director of Finance and Resources to complete our dynamic senior leadership team.

Job Role: Strategic Director Finance and Resources
Service Area: 
Senior Leadership Team
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
Hours/Pattern of work: 37 hours per week -9am to 5pm Mon to Thurs 9am to 4.30pm Fri.
Some flexibility required in line with business/service need
Contract: Permanent
Salary: CANW scale points 50 – 55 - £48,338 - £53,444 per annum
Office Base: CANW Head Office, Whalley Road, Wilpshire, Blackburn, BB1 9LL
Flexibility to include home working

All roles within CANW have a responsibility for the safeguarding of children and adults. This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

About the role

You will hold overall responsibility for Child Action Northwest’s Group finances including budget control, banking arrangements and investments.  You will work alongside the CEO and senior leadership team leading on the financial planning and resource management of the Charity and reporting to the Board of Trustees and relevant committees.

About you

We are looking for someone who is a team player and can bring a professional accountancy expertise and experience to the Charity. You will have a professional accountancy qualification and the experience to lead our busy finance team; with experience of preparing, budgets, forecasts, management accounts and all aspects of financial programming.  You will be enable to undertake financial analysis and planning to ensure we achieve our ambitious development plans. You will be an excellent communicator and will be able to work across all levels, and feel confident working with other senior leaders in public and third sector organisations.  You will be able to make strategic decisions take a proactive approach to opportunities, issues and problems.
