Membership Recruitment & Customer Care Advisor
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,055 per annum
Our client is the UK’s leading wetland conservation charity. They are pioneers in saving threatened wetland wildlife, a centre for excellence in conservation science and experts in wetland management and creation. Around a million visitors a year engage with wetland nature at their ten sites around the UK, and they work nationally and internationally in key locations to balance conservation with sustainable livelihoods.
They have recently completed a review of their strategic priorities which includes ambitious targets for developing bigger and better wetlands, encouraging more people to take direct action for these unique places, and ensuring key decision makers around the world realise the essential role wetlands play in restoring nature, combating climate change and enhancing health and wellbeing.
In order to continue their vital wetlands work they need to generate much needed revenues and funds from supporters, visitors and commercial activities. To help with this an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Membership Recruitment and Customer Care Advisor to lead on the delivery of a focussed strategy of membership recruitment at their sites and to support and make a key contribution to improving visitor experience and commercial sales.
*This position can be based anywhere in the UK as it will involve frequent travel to all of their 10 sites
You will support their sites to meet and exceed their targets for membership, retail, catering and other associated trading operations by monitoring the performance to identify interventions required to improve performance through advice, guidance, training and the highest standards of visitor service.
This role requires you to work across their directorates including training and development and supporter engagement. You will work alongside the Head of Commercial, Head of Retail and Head of Catering and support Centre Managers and Trading Managers and their teams at sites.
The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative, have the key skills required to support, influence and constructively challenge senior managers and existing procedures and processes and propose new approaches. You will have proven experience of motivating, enthusing and inspiring confidence within commercial teams and be influential enough to gain the support of the site teams to deliver and exceed targets.
