Partnerships Manager

Do you have a proven track record of working towards and achieving sales targets and have experience and understanding of Church Leadership? Are you looking for a role where you can combine both and play your part in the release of children from poverty in Jesus’ name?

We recruiting for a Partnerships Manager with the focus being on Black majority churches across the UK. This role will utilize your sales, networking, and public speaking skills. To ensure good stewardship of resources, preference will be given to those located within easy access to major travel routes across the UK.

Position: Partnerships Manager (Black Majority Church focus)

Location: Home-based covering UK

Salary: Starting salary £33,400 (Within the grade £33,400 - £39,500)

Hours: 35 hours per week over a flexible working pattern with some Sunday working

Closing Date: 25th May

Interview Date: 9th and 10th June

About the Role

As a Partnerships Manager, you’ll work within the Partnerships Department to establish, build, maintain and grow relationships with existing and potential Church Partners (SCP’s) to manage local events to maximise the opportunities from these partnerships and to achieve regional acquisition and ‘beyond sponsorship’ objectives. You will work in collaboration with Regional teams, volunteers, and events team to maximise impact.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Actively maintain and promote the charity’s Christian ethos and values
  • Maximise the number of child sponsorships from within designated area of responsibility from churches and local events
  • Maximise ‘beyond sponsorship’ income within your region
  • Work collaboratively across the charity to effectively meet objectives
  • Assist the effective working of Church Development (within Partnerships Department)

 

About You

To flourish in this role, you’ll need:

 

  • Sales experience, with a proven track record of managing a sales process from beginning to end
  • Excellent networking ability preferably with Church leaders with an understanding of the challenges they face in their ministry
  • Church leadership experience with an understanding of church leadership
  • A good network within Black majority Churches
  • To be a confident and effective public speaker, with experience of preaching within Churches
  • Educated to at least A level standard and/or be able to show relevant work-based experience in a results driven organisation
  • Core office/administrative skills, fluent in English and competent in written and numerical work, with experience of basic office systems such as Microsoft Office
  • A full driving licence with car (mileage expenses paid)

Personally, committed to the Christian faith. There’s an occupational requirement for the holder of this role to be a practising Christian, in order to promote the charity’s ethos and help others to experience, explore and express the faith-based motivation of its work.
