Job Details

Harris Hill are delighted to be partnering with a fantastic national charity on their search for a Head of Media and External Affairs.

This is an exciting role within the heart of the charity to lead their external communications function, building and managing key relationships both inside and outside the organisation, and proactively creating opportunities to increase the visibility and influence of the charity.

Uniquely positioned to build a close working relationship with the CEO and her personal office, this role will see the successful candidate building on the CEO’s senior relationships within Government and the media. Excellent written and oral skills and the ability to write thought-pieces from the Chief Executive to be placed in the Media or sent to Government are critical. They will also promote the external profile of the Chief Executive in the media, and foster a good working relationship with the wider executive team.

As you should expect, the organisation, respects and values the difference in its employees. They are a Race at Work Charter signatory and, alongside 600 other Charter signatories, taking actions to encourage and support ethnic minority representation in recruitment, selection, and career progression. They welcome applicants from all communities. They are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive environment that consists of fairness, dignity, and caring for everyone; an environment that enables every employee to flourish and realise their potential.
