Fixed Term contract for 12 months - Maternity cover

As an Financial Inclusion Officer you’ll work directly with their tenants both over the phone and face to face to provide a comprehensive debt and welfare benefits advice service. You will offer financial guidance and information relating to welfare benefits including Housing benefit and Universal Credit, signposting to other specialist providers where necessary. An important part of your role will be to work closely with their team of Income Officers to identify customers in financial hardship to ensure that adequate support systems are put in place.


The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role so will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of providing debt and welfare advice. You will be experienced in using Case Management systems such as Advice Pro and will have a good understanding of all debt solutions including debt relief orders. You will be a confident communicator who can remain calm in challenging situations, you will have managed your own caseload in the past and will be comfortable working both in person and over the telephone. You will be working with customers from a variety of backgrounds and as such, you will have proven success in working closely with those with mental health and/or complex needs  to provide appropriate support solutions.


Please note that this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
