Our client is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity delivering over 500 projects each year aimed at supporting people to stay in education, gain new skills and secure employment; reducing our environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste minimisation, reuse and recycling; and engaging communities and enterprise in improving their environment. Their Youth Team is seeking applications for Achievement Coaches to support the continued expansion of their Youth Programme.

If you are you passionate about helping young people fulfil their potential and would enjoy the autonomy of a role that allows you to design and deliver one to ones or group work with 15 - 19-year-olds based in school or college, they would like to hear from you.

In this role you will help young people to explore and understand their ideas, values and beliefs, building their confidence and life skills so that they can achieve success in their chosen pathway. Achievement Coaches utilise an exciting approach to deliver early intervention support to vulnerable young people at risk of becoming NEET. The central focus of the role is to support young people in improving educational attainment and assist and encourage them to remain in sustained education, employment or training.

The charity is looking for applicants with a relevant background, qualification or experience in youth or employment work, this could be as a Teaching Assistant or a Learning and Behaviour mentor. You do not need coaching experience to apply, but must have the ability to form close and effective relationships with young people from a wide range of backgrounds, whilst providing support and guidance.

The successful applicants will join a supportive and dynamic team and take the lead for their own cohort in this exciting high-quality provision, working with young people to inspire them, increase their resilience and raise their academic attainment.

The roles will be based in either Southwark, Harrow, Hounslow, Hillingdon, Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing or Brent. To apply you must be willing to travel to one of these locations.

Closing date for applications: This is a rolling recruitment process, so please submit your applications as soon as possible. The post will stay live until all the positions have been filled.
