Stoke, Stoke-on-Trent 

 £46,448 - £50,000​ per annum plus benefits

Hours: 37.5 

Contract Type: Permanent

 

Our client is looking for a Head of Homelessness and Complex Needs to lead the delivery, development and growth of services to enable  them to achieve their ambition to make homelessness history. You will strategically and operationally lead and coach all staff teams to deliver a range of services in North Staffordshire and Cheshire East.

 

Job requirements:

  • Delivering their brand promises and ensuring practice in line with group values and behaviours
  • Delivering high levels of performance on all accommodation-based property and community services. Including customer outcomes, financial targets, people development, risk management and reporting on performance
  • Taking accountability for services and contracts, representing the brand and reporting into executive and board on achievements, performance, risks and health and safety including serious incidents and safeguarding matters
  • Taking accountability for contracts and contractual performance including delivery on social value measures
  • Informing strategic development of services, growth, and delivery models

 

What they’re looking for:

  • Experience managing supported housing and/or homelessness services
  • Good standard of education GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent with a relevant qualification in housing/social care/support services and with evidence of career progression and self-development
  • Experience of building positive working relationships with commissioners, funding schemes and partners to provide and develop services that are quality driven and are value for money
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing people at team leader level or above across multiple services and locations, and where you have been accountable for the operational delivery and performance of a range of services
  • Knowledge and experience of managing contracts and services with effective management of teams within funded and regulated services
  • Up to date with current issues, practices, laws. Including safeguarding and guidance, best practice in welfare reform and mental health, homelessness, and housing.  You will also need to hold a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and the Equal Opportunities Policy
  • Great written and verbal communications skills and experience of working with people at all levels
  • Someone who is self-aware and able to engage of others, lead change and achieve results
  • Someone who is empathetic and understanding of our diverse customer group, with a drive to create the best possible services to meet their individual and collective needs
  • Enhanced DBS check
