Would you like to make a difference to the information available to the 615 parishes of the diocese, working with skilled colleagues in an attractive modern office environment?

The Role

The Diocese has an ambitious plan to grow and develop as many as 750 new church communities in response to the rapid social and environmental changes across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Planning and supporting the New Congregations programme
  • Planning and co-ordinating the two Boards that oversee the programme
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reporting across the programme
  • Managing and supporting a diverse range of stakeholders

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous project management and delivery experience along with strong analytical and organisational skills. You will be sensitive to the needs of volunteers and be able to engage, motivate and support them. Experience of project delivery within the charitable sector would be an advantage, but not essential.

The Diocese offers a range of benefits including an on-site café, free parking and a chance to work with great colleagues in an attractive modern office environment. The diocese’s Christian vision, ethos and principles underpin the way the Board runs. The post-holder must be committed to their principles and values, as well as supporting the diocesan strategy.

You will be asked to complete an application form and a cover letter as part of the recruitment process.

About the Organisation

The Diocese is the administrative area of the Church of England that, broadly speaking, covers the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. There are 815 churches in the Diocese – more than any other diocese in the Church of England. So in many ways the best description is that it is the family of the 55,000 or so regular worshippers in these churches.

You may also have experience in areas such as Project Manager, Project Officer, Project Delivery, Programme Manager, Programme, Programmes, Project, Programme Officer, Programme Lead, Funding, Bid, Funding Manager, Funding and Programme, Congregations, Church, Faith, Diocese, Engagement, Programme Engagement, Community Engagement, Community, Community Partnerships, Policy, Volunteer, Volunteering, Volunteer Management.
