About English Rural:

English Rural Housing Association is a leading national rural specialist working to provide affordable homes in small villages for local people.  We own and manage around 1,250 affordable properties, spread amongst 150 villages, and have a development programme of around 200 more homes. This is a new role created following a reorganisation of the resident services team. The Association has a main office in central London with all service activity delivered from a separate office in Lower Eashing.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our newly created customer services team with the management level role focused on delivering a high-quality service to residents. Working under the leadership of the Resident Services Director, this role will lead the customer services team responding to residents. Establishing and embedding a culture of customer excellence through a hub model is critical. The management role will collaborate closely with technical and housing specialists to evolve and deliver comprehensive processes necessary to secure business ambitions. Often working at pace and balancing competing demands, the role requires someone whom will inspire and lead a small dedicated team. Managing the performance of external contractors to achieve good value and working within agreed budgets are essential.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in working and successfully delivering a broad operation service, ideally in a housing association housing or property related environment. You will need good communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate and work effectively within a fast-paced environment. Experience in achieving excellent levels of customer service are essential. The right candidate will have sufficient skills, knowledge and expertise, either from a formal qualification of direct experience.
