This new, permanent role will help transform the way the organisation produces content under its two business-to-business brands, Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation and Impact on Urban Health. You will be bedding in and developing them further, translating them into powerful content, and helping to realise the best possible return on investment. The role is part of a new Brand, Content and Corporate Communications team created to embed, champion and safeguard the brands across everything they do, from excellent content to spot on internal communications.

The Brand and Content Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and leading the delivery of the brand and content strategies to cement positioning and grow engagement with key national and international audiences
  • Line managing 1 person (a content lead)
  • Setting the creative direction for branded content, ensuring the effectiveness and impact of all their outputs
  • Helping embed their two B2B brands with their distinct tone of voice, supporting colleagues, contractors and partners to understand and use them confidently
  • Upholding and demonstrating their commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in all uses of their brand and content production
  • Identifying and managing proportionate brand tracking and audience engagement for their two B2B brands, identifying and responding to learnings and reporting on key measures
  • Commissioning and leading projects to understand key audiences and how to best deliver on their brands' promises
  • Recruiting, briefing and managing a roster of freelancers across all areas of content production, including copywriting, design, illustration, photography and film
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues in the communications directorate and beyond to ensure the success of their new structure

The Successful Applicant

  • The key qualities needed for the Brand and Content Manager are:
  • Able to translate creative vision into actionable briefs
  • Experience within a B2B brand
  • Excellent at building relationships and negotiating
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and a confident storyteller
  • Interested in trends and new practice around brand engagement and management
  • Comfortable with emerging ways of working and working across teams
  • Flexible to work from their London office
  • Ideally experience within the not for profit charity sector
