HACS is an equal opportunities and inclusive employer. Applications from people with disabilities and ethnic minorities are actively encouraged as a diverse workforce is vital to our continued success. We particularly welcome applications from those with a diagnosis of autism or self-identify as autistic. We operate a guaranteed interview scheme ensuring that anyone with a disability who meets the minimum requirements of the role is automatically shortlisted for interview during the selection process.

We are the leading specialist provider of Autism services in Hillingdon, with over 20 years’ experience supporting autistic people and their families. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a desire to improve the lives of autistic adults, to work as an Autism Wellbeing Advisor for the new post-diagnostic support service at HACS.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of autistic adults who have recently been diagnosed, providing information/advice, training, one to one support, group-based support and signposting of services. They will support autistic adults to understand autism and develop strategies to manage day to day challenges and develop long-term resilience. The goal of the Wellbeing advisor is to maximise mental health, wellbeing and inclusion of autistic adults. This is a preventative service which will be designed to reduce risk of mental illness and mental health admissions. The successful candidate should have knowledge, skills and experience of supporting people with autism.

HACS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
