Leading dental charity Dentaid is looking for an experienced fundraiser to help drive its overseas projects forward. This new role will seek new funding opportunities that will take our international work to the next level. We are looking for someone who has experience of researching and identifying viable sources of funding from trusts, grants, foundations and overseas funding bodies to create compelling applications and cases for support. Working closely with the Overseas Projects Manager, you will secure funding for Dentaid’s overseas outreach programmes, dental equipment projects, oral health education schemes and our unique portable dental surgeries known as a DentaidBox. You will also liaise with projects in order to provide feedback for Dentaid’s funders and supporters.
This is an exciting time for our charity and we are growing fast – both in the UK and overseas. The successful candidate will be passionate about increasing access to safe, sustainable dental care in some of the poorest and most remote communities in the world. Dentaid does this by working with local dentists, providing them with the support, equipment and knowledge to change people’s lives through dental care and oral health education. Currently, our overseas projects are primarily in Africa (including several programmes in Uganda) and central and eastern Asia. However, in the last 25 years Dentaid has worked in more than 70 countries around the world and as our profile grows, so does the demand for our services.
We are looking for someone with plenty of initiative and a flexible approach. We’re a small, friendly and hard-working team and we all passionately believe in the importance of providing dental care for all. If you share our vision and have a background in international fundraising we would love to hear from you.
