Sporting Equals is an independent body that actively works to promote ethnic diversity throughout the sporting community. Originally formed in 1998 by Sport England, in partnership with the Commission for Racial Equality, we have worked to promote inclusivity through policy change and community-based engagement.
As Community Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for the overall community outreach and engagement across Sporting Equals community-based projects. In this role, you will help grow our offer, delivering high quality projects to help engage ethnically diverse communities, enabling lasting connections with individuals and organisations.
Working across our core cities, you will build on our existing Associate Membership of grassroots organisations, managing a range of projects and supporting a team of activators to ensure all outcomes are delivered against project objectives.
We will look to you to build on an existing strong programme of work working with key partners and funders. This is an active, outward facing position, so you will need plenty of experience of community engagement, and race equality and diversity.
