We are looking for a super-organised Project Officer to join our team, working to support the Projects Director and other project team members to achieve agreed outcomes.

To be a successful candidate you must have experience of supporting project implementation and management, gained through use of formal and recognised project management methodology (ideally PRINCE2), experience of collaborative working across teams and be able to quickly develop a detailed understanding of wide ranging and complex issues.

Previous experience of supporting projects and project planning is essential, as is a high level of competence in Microsoft office and high levels of rigour and attention to detail.

Currently this role is home based while Covid restrictions are in place, however normally it would be based at our Head Office in Bromley, Kent.

Key Responsibilities include:

Project design and delivery  

  • To assist in project planning.  
  • To assist with the production of comprehensive project plans and documentation to enable the project(s) to be managed against a clear set of defined deliverables and milestones.
  • To assist with the monitoring, measuring, reviewing and updating project process, adjusting project plans and implementing remedial plans and informing all relevant parties. To support any evaluation of the project and any follow-on action recommendations as required.
  • To produce project documentation and support the creation of knowledge libraries with the end goal of using this documentation to train and support the end users.
  • To provide support to those involved in the project by defining work and ensuring deadlines are understood and adhered to and that project objectives are clearly articulated and understood.
  • To support regular monthly review of project progress including monthly reporting and minutes of meetings
  • Engage with project teams including external suppliers on a regular basis to ensure project milestones are achieved and strong partnerships fostered

Support the Projects Director

  •  Support the continuous improvement of Project Management toolkits and methodologies
  • ·Support project closure including the capture of lessons learned
  •  Support project evaluations and continuous improvement
  •  Support the review of systems’ effectiveness on a regular basis

Risk Management

  • Support the identification of project risks and mitigations and work with the Projects Director and Project managers to implement these as directed
  • Support regular reporting on progress, risk and mitigation in respect of agreed key projects
  • Support the champion for business process change

General Responsibilities

  • Any other duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post, that are required in order to deliver the job’s key responsibilities
