Living Planet Centre, Woking, Surrey

Passionate about nature you are looking for an opportunity to use your solid admin skills to support a truly worthwhile cause. Look no further than this exciting role with WWF UK, the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. We are focused on tackling the urgent triple challenge of our time: stabilising our climate and reducing biodiversity loss while fixing the food system to feed a rapidly growing global population. Join us as Philanthropy Coordinator and you will help save our planet by helping fund critical conservation, drive positive environmental change and inspire people to engage with our mission.

As Philanthropy Coordinator you will provide vital administrative support to the team focussed on developing relationships with supporters giving significant donations. Your remit will include overseeing key activities such as annual communications, guest list development for events, thanking and banking and updating the supporter database. You will also be involved managing organisational systems and processes, coordinating donor event and meeting logistics as well as helping create content for donor communications. You will assist with research projects and produce regular reporting too.

For this role, you will possess excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to balance competing requirements. You will have good computer skills too, including a sound working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and ability to use relevant in-house and custom systems and databases to generate reports. Customer focused, you will be used to prioritising your work and enjoy working as part of a team. A good communicator, you will also be detail orientated. Knowledge of the philanthropic sector and of the fundraising mechanisms would be an advantage.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you.  Here at WWF we’re committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose.  We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We’re looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.

Company

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
