Head of Fundraising and Communications
Bristol

This is a rare opportunity for a fundraising and communications professional to join our senior management team and play a key role in taking our fundraising and communications to the next level.

About Us

Creative Youth Network is a successful charity organisation that supports young people to reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives by building secure and positive relationships with them based on their individual unique needs. We offer young people safe spaces to express themselves with creative courses, youth clubs and practical advice and support.

We take pride in our relaxed working culture and environment and we are PQASSO accredited. We’ve opted into the Bristol City Council Equality Charter and are dedicated to promoting equality and diversity within the organisation.

The Benefits

We offer 33 days' annual leave (including bank holidays, pro rata for part time) per year, a generous pension scheme, a cycle to work scheme, opportunities for flexible working, paid breaks and fantastic development opportunities.

The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring fundraising and communications professional to help us build on our existing base of contract and grant income (including stewardship of a strong portfolio of existing funders, e.g. Comic Relief, Children in Need, National Lottery Community Fund and Arts Council England).

You will help us to build new income streams, particularly from major donors, regular giving and community fundraising (areas in which we start from a comparatively low base). You will also aim to increase the impact/reach of our communications (not only to support our fundraising, partnership and service delivery activity, but also in line with our strategic aim to amplify the voices of young people).

About You

To join us as our Head of Fundraising and Communications, you’ll need a demonstrable track record in fundraising and marketing/communications, with direct experience and significant evidence of success in at least two of the following areas:

- Marketing and communications
- Trusts and foundations
- Local authority and other statutory or quasi-statutory sources
- Individual giving, including from high-net-worth individuals
- Community fundraising
- Corporate fundraising and partnerships

Salary: £43,656 (pro rata) grade 4.6
Hours: 24 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 32 hours per week negotiable for the right candidate
Contract: Permanent
Application deadline: 18th April 2021
Interviews: Monday 26th or Tuesday 27th April 2021
