Our client is the UK’s leading wetland conservation charity. They are pioneers in saving threatened wetland wildlife and experts in wetland management and creation. Around a million visitors a year engage with wetland nature at their ten sites around the UK, and they work nationally and internationally to balance conservation with sustainable livelihoods for local communities. They have recently completed a review of their strategic priorities which includes ambitious targets for developing bigger and better wetlands, encouraging more people to take direct action for these unique places, and ensuring key decision makers around the world realise the essential role wetlands play in restoring nature, combating climate change and enhancing health and wellbeing.
As part of this review they are investing in internal communications. The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering the organisation's strategy to inform, engage and inspire their 400 employees and 1000 volunteers to support the delivery of the charity’s ambitions. Reporting to the Head of Communications and Campaigns, this newly created position will work with colleagues across the communications, brand and people teams and the wider organisation to develop and deliver the internal communications strategy.
