We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance, to business partner our Chief Operating Officer, at Bristol Music Trust, a charity responsible for managing the activities of Bristol Beacon, Bristol’s largest concert venue, and for delivering music education programmes across the city. This is an opportunity to work for a vibrant and creative arts organisation, with responsibility for ensuring high standards of financial management and providing management reporting and analysis that meets the business needs of Bristol Beacon.

This is a time of major change for the Trust, we began a transformation project in June 2018 to deliver a major capital redevelopment programme. This will see a complete refurbishment of our two main Halls and the creation of a new Hall and music education centre in the cellars. The Head of Finance will support the ongoing financial management of the business during a challenging transformation. This is the largest arts infrastructure investment project undertaken in the South West for many years and will deliver state of the art cultural facilities of international standing.

The successful applicant must be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), they will be a creative thinker, with excellent communication skills, a positive approach, and the enthusiasm and resilience to meet the varied demands of our venue, with the ability to lead and inspire our team of finance professionals. You will have a proven track record in working with budget holders to support business effectiveness, and a confident and analytical approach to financial reporting.

This is an exciting time to join us as we work to redevelop both halls in our iconic building and we encourage interested applicants to have an initial conversation with our COO Clare Jack.
