Job Vacancy: VCSE Leadership Programme Lead – working with the VCSE* in Derbyshire and Joined Up Care Derbyshire

*Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise

Salary £45K per annum, pro rata + pension

Hours of work: 30hrs per week

Location: Office base at Amber Valley CVS in Ripley and/or home working, the post will work across Derby & Derbyshire

Contract length: 12 months

Secondment or freelance arrangement may be negotiable for the right candidate

We are seeking an experienced, confident leader to help us develop a responsive, resilient network of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector leaders in Derby and Derbyshire and to support effective engagement between the VCSE and wider health and wellbeing systems and agendas.  The post will work across the Derbyshire Integrated Care System (ICS) area.

Employed by Amber Valley CVS but working with a Steering Group and wider system partners you will develop, deliver and evaluate a programme of work to review and reflect frankly on current engagement mechanisms across the ICS, their strengths, weaknesses, gaps and potential. Using this insight you will build a consensus on the most effective way forward – building on what works well, as well as exploring new or additional ways to engage.

This role will be pivotal in ensuring that the wider VCSE, in all its diversity, reaches its full potential as a key strategic and delivery partner within the ICS.

You will need a proven track record of working at a senior level in (or working closely with) the VCSE sector, ideally in the context of improving health and wellbeing outcomes. An ability to able to think strategically, establish credibility and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders is essential, along with excellent persuasion, influencing and negotiation skills, experience of consensus building and understanding of power balance with excellent persuasion, influencing and negotiation skills.
