Trusts Officer
£24k permanent - 37.5 hours a week
Home working with visits to our head office in Andover, Hampshire.
Would you love to use your writing and communication skills to help people affected by sight loss?
Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK. The Macular Society is a Great Fundraising organisation with a vision to Beat Macular Disease and a strategy to significantly grow income to fund the research that will find a cure.
The Trusts Officer is a vital part of this vision and your excellent relationship building, research and communication skills will help us achieve our ambitions.
Working closely with colleagues in the Trusts and Philanthropy team and Corporate Partnerships team, you will manage your own portfolio of charitable trusts and foundations, writing bespoke funding applications and project reports for support services, medical research and core costs. You will also support the management of corporate and major donor relationships, recording all donor information and communications on our database.
To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent written communication skills to produce text that is inspiring, concise and informative
- Confident speaking on the phone
- Ability to work proactively under own initiative
- Team player willing to work with and support colleagues across the organisation
