Based Newhaven with occasional travel across East Sussex
Up to full time hours (37 hrs pw) available but happy to discuss part time options for the right candidate
Salary range up to £49,961 per annum pro rata, dependent on qualification, skill & experience

Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA), delivers a range of projects, services & activities aimed at supporting the involvement of the whole of the community.  We continue to grow and respond to community need, both geographically and in terms of the staff responsible for the delivery of our services.  This is an exciting time in our development as an organisation, and we are currently looking for a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join & enhance our Senior team.

Ideally you will have a proven track record as a senior level decision maker, offering broad cross sector experience, and demonstrating excellent communication skills as such.

With responsibility for providing expert strategic financial advice & professional input right across the organisation, and for the effective leadership and direction of the finance team, you will ensure the finances and operational infrastructure of the Charity run smoothly and efficiently, to support the delivery of the services and enterprises which fulfil the organisation’s mission & values.

Providing sound financial & contract management advice and ensuring compliance with legal, statutory and audit requirements you will contribute to the strategic leadership of the charity as an active member of our Senior Management Team.

In addition, this post has oversight and responsibility for IT, phones and premises services and for ensuring that the Charity complies with health and safety and other regulations.

Post subject to a DBS & financial suitability check. Car owner and driver is preferred but not essential.

Interviews will be held on site in Newhaven as this role supports the Charity’s need to ensure safe delivery of those of our services which are exempt.
