One of the most high profile government departments in the UK based in London
Description
you will promote the organisations key messages and outputs on priority policy areas and manage the organisation's reputation with the media and stakeholders.
Provide proactive and reactive communications handling advice to national and regional colleagues, including prepping for any interview bids
Responsible for briefing journalists
Identify opportunities for developing proactive communications to media and stakeholders, whilst being aware to any potential reputation risks
Working closely with policy officials and communications colleagues to plan and implement communications strategies across a range of channels
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including other government departments and agencies
Produce a wide variety of content and then put this out to the appropriate channels to reach the target audiences
Profile
- Have experience working in a busy and challenging press office
- Proactive and reactive media experience
- National media experience
- Have created engaging content for press releases
- Stakeholder engagement experience
Job Offer
£31,000 - £33,000 starting ASAP and is for a duration of 6 months with a strong possibility of going permanent.
