Description

The key responsibilities for the Marketing Manager are:

  • Develop a CRM strategy identifying comms journeys for different volunteers
  • Engage and inspire volunteers to ensure excellent retention and volunteer task delivery
  • Develop strong relationships with Senior Team and other Workstream / project leads / colleagues to facilitate effective delivery of the communications strategy and key messages
  • This is a role which requires confident writing at pace. The post holder is required to write in a variety of styles for our different communications channels in a way that is engaging, grammatically correct and appropriate.
  • Manage the data, ensuring correct permissions are in place and data is cleansed as appropriate
  • Use email marketing best practice to increase engagement of comms and through testing and evaluation, analyse the impact of our e-marketing programme and provide suggestions to improve success
  • Respond to briefs from colleagues, craft suitable copy for approval and source appropriate content including banners, video, infographics etc
  • Support colleagues with external and social media requests as required during busy periods e.g. during holiday or campaign and / or communications peaks

  • Listens carefully to colleague or NHS briefs, using questions to clarify understanding. Challenges the brief where appropriate to explore alternative communications solutions
  • Is relied upon to provide sound communications advice and expertise and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Is not afraid to say what people may not want to hear, and stands their ground when challenged
  • Sets expectations about their own role. Makes appropriate judgements about where they can add most value and where others are best placed to own actions and deliverables
  • Gives feedback constructively and confidently when asked
  • Decides on formats and effective targeting of e-marketing campaigns
  • Provides strategic guidance on data management

Profile

The successful Marketing Manager will have:

  • A BA or equivalent qualification is required
  • A professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations or the Chartered Institute of Marketing can be helpful.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a similar role within Digital Communications
  • An excellent writer, confident adjusting styles for different audiences
  • Confident with a variety of digital design programmes
  • Experience of e-marketing platforms (Dot Digital) and email creation, including scheduling and analytics required.
