Job Details

One of the most high profile government departments in the UK based in London


  • Provide proactive and reactive communications handling advice to national and regional colleagues, including prepping for any interview bids

  • Responsible for briefing journalists

  • Identify opportunities for developing proactive communications to media and stakeholders, whilst being aware to any potential reputation risks

  • Working closely with policy officials and communications colleagues to plan and implement communications strategies across a range of channels

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including other government departments and agencies

  • Produce a wide variety of content and then put this out to the appropriate channels to reach the target audiences


  • Have experience working in a busy and challenging press office
  • Proactive and reactive media experience
  • National media experience
  • Have created engaging content for press releases
  • Stakeholder engagement experience

Job Offer

£30,000 = £33,000 per annum starting ASAP and is for a duration of 6 months.
