35 hours per week
Salary: £38,000 - £40,400 per annum
Location: Based in their Head Office in Knowsley with travel across the North West

Our client an air ambulance charity provides rapid pre-hospital care needed to make a life changing difference. They operate three helicopters, flying 365 days a year with doctors and paramedics on board providing emergency medical treatment when time is critical.

They are currently investing in their Income and Engagement team and growing sustainable income for the future to increase their lifesaving work.

The job:

The Head of Community and Events will lead the strategic development, implementation & delivery of the Community and Events income stream.  This role is integral to the deliverer the Charity’s agreed strategy. The post holder will be joining a talented and ambitions senior team, and within this role will be given the opportunity develop and innovate and diversify the income stream in order to respond to the ever-changing environment of Community and Events Fundraising.

The role will report to the Director of Income Generation & Engagement and will lead a regional team of talented fundraisers, including a Regional Community Fundraising Manager and an Event Officer.  Leading a team of 8 to delivering a strategy that will deliver a sustainable, long term growth across this income stream, which boasts a significant existing supporter base.

The candidate:

You will have demonstrable experience and evidenced success in strategic development and delivery within the fields of Community and Events fundraising.  You will have strong teams leadership skills and experience of cross working across other income streams, fostering effective and innovative working relationships to deliver income. You will have an enabling and supporting approach to management, delivering an innovate and open culture of a team.

You will develop and deliver a strategy which is target driven and diverse to ensure sustainability for the income stream, you will also have experience of income and expenditure budget management and a strong understanding and knowledge of donor journey and stewardship.
