Complex Needs Team Leader - RePlace 
Lewisham 
£31,000 per annum

As a result of the expansion of our ReConnect project, we are now looking to hire an experienced Team Leader. Reporting into the Special Projects Manager, the overall aim of this project is to be responsible for the operational delivery and housing management of the ReConnect service, as well as leading and motivating the team to deliver high-quality support services, including the line management of staff. 

The ReConnect project can accommodate 4 women with complex needs. The Team Leader in conjunction with the Support Worker will provide holistic support to aid the transition from custody to independent living. The ReConnect staff are an integral part of the Special Project team who deliver support to women pan-London.   

Key responsibilities: 

  • To be responsible for the effective day-to-day management and smooth operation of the project.
  • To provide regular structured line management and support for staff. To ensure monthly clinical and managerial supervision in line with Housing for Women’s policies and procedures.
  • To develop and co-ordinate a range of support interventions for the service users (e.g. group workshops, 1-1 casework, therapeutic work, parenting skills, activities around women and children’s trauma) to help them achieve their individual support plans.
  • Oversee risk assessments in conjunction with staff, the women and any other relevant agencies, implementing person-centred risk management plans and reviewing these regularly.
  • Implement and embed co-production mechanisms with partner agencies for substance misuse, therapeutic group work, education and training and employment opportunities. 

To be successful in this job, you will require: 

  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and their dependants from diverse backgrounds, within the criminal justice system and with complex needs. 
  • Experience of managing and supervising staff, volunteers and social work students.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with external agencies.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and an understanding of relevant legislation relating to criminal justice, housing, safeguarding, welfare benefit systems, child protection etc.
