I am delighted to be working with an amazing homelessness charity to recruit an Assistant Director of Operations for a 6-month FTC. You will lead on the management and development of the charity's community-based services, which currently include the following work areas:

Rough sleeper outreach services,
Homeless health link service
Training and employment service
Community development and engagement
Young person's engagement service
Peer mentoring and service user involvement
Trainee worker scheme

This role will focus on the development of non-accommodation support services across the organisation, this role is key in developing innovative solutions to address rough sleeping, whilst developing services to tackle social isolation by increasing the personal development and life skills of the people that use the services.

A large proportion of this role will be to support the delivery of rough sleeper outreach, health engagement and personalisation services in the areas we work across. The services require expert leadership to develop and maintain the excellent results that are currently achieved.

This role will provide leadership in building the capacity of services users, leading the teams to engage with service users in a creative innovative way, this role will be the lead for contract management of the services and will need to demonstrate excellent contract management skills.

This role is required to think differently and implement service innovations by developing and managing positive, collaborative relationships with many partners and stakeholders that will have different perspectives and interests. Building strong relationships with commissioners and funders, to promote the charity.

This role will be required to create cohesion across the various teams, by demonstrating a strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative in proactively resolving issues and creating solutions that meet the needs of the service users.

Working with the Senior Management Team to develop new business models and participate in the tendering and fundraising processes.
Experience:
Experience of leading service delivery managing teams and services
Creating and develop business plans for the area of work
Experience of internal and external reporting to Senior Management Team and Board and stakeholders
Management of data and use of databases
Experience of analysing operational data to identify areas for improved performance
Experience of supporting new funding bids bid writing and data analysis
Experience of effective financial management through budget setting, management accounting
