About the charity

For over 50 years this charity has been building a better childhood for all.  In 2014, they partnered with Lambeth to successfully bid to become one of five ‘A Better Start’ sites across the country, a ten year programme focussing on improving Early Childhood Development outcomes, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Background to the role

The advertised role will provide support to the LEAP Team (Lambeth Early Action Partnership), based in the four most deprived wards in Lambeth.  LEAP aims to support pregnant women and families with young children through a range of services, and is currently in its fifth year.

About the role

Our client is looking for a professional, capable and motivated Project Assistant to become part of their team, supporting colleagues through a range of tasks that will contribute to the efficient delivery of the programme.

The tasks will assist programme delivery, including: sourcing and setting-up venues or virtual platforms for training or meetings; taking minutes for meetings with clear actions; coordinating meetings across the LEAP partnership; supporting team members in sourcing resources and helping to prepare for training events; ensuring the LEAP office space complies with Health and Safety policies.

LEAP is a learning organisation, and as such the candidates will be given opportunities to attend training sessions that help staff and the broader workforce to better understand Early Childhood Development, as well as a range of training opportunities through its host organisation.

Applications close at 11:59pm on Monday, 7 December 2020.

Assessment and interviews to be conducted on 14 and 16 December 2020. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
