Job Details

We are currently working with the Institute in the development of the Institute’s philanthropic income and this an exciting time to be involved in leading and shaping fundraising for them. The expected income sources will be corporate, major donors, trusts, legacies, govt and contract income. If you have a background in HE, science, research and/or institutional we would be interested to hear from you, and at this early stage we are interested in interim support as well as looking further ahead at a permanent option.

LIMS is London based and will be moving into the Royal Institution in February, currently in Mayfair. The Institute is passionate about the importance of theoretical science and giving researchers the opportunity to focus all their efforts on their research without the need to be involved in academic teaching to progress their aims. It is also committed to non outcome based science, where some of our greatest discoveries have been made, building on a tradition of British scientific research for the modern era. This is such an exciting start up and please don’t hesitate to get in touch for more information, charlotte@eardleywilmot.co.uk

This interim role is London based and expected to be office based where possible.

Company

Funded by research agencies, foundations and firms, it gives scientists the freedom and support to make fundamental discoveries full-time.
In 2019, the London Institute was designated an Independent Research Organization, becoming Britain’s first private research centre in the physical sciences to compete with universities for Research Council funding.

We are supported by research grants from the EU’s Horizon 2020, the European Innovation Council, DARPA, the US Department of Defense, the Ministry of Defence, the Medical Research Council and Cancer Research UK. We also receive funding from the City of Westminster, British foundations and global firms in strategy, biotechnology and artificial intelligence.
