An environmental charity, seek a Content Specialist ASAP on a fixed term contract until end April 2021.

This exciting opportunity for a content specialist working to support the global communications and marketing team, reporting to the Senior Content Manager. This role has no direct reports. The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing compelling communications and content for key audiences, and driving the organisations mission to build a sustainable economy as we enter an exciting period of change and expand focus to the wider theme of 'environment'.
We are looking for a results-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a wider global team.

Key responsibilities include:
Work with the Senior Content Manager and Content Executive on implementing the content strategy for the expansion of focus to the wider 'environment' theme.
Produce compelling written content (such as blogs, social media posts, reports, web copy) to support campaigns and launches for our new wider environmental focus
Draft, proof-read and copy-edit external communications materials, such as reports
Ensure all content produced is in line within brand and messaging
Support on multimedia creation (e.g. drafting briefs for designers, proof-reading and reviewing drafts, coordinating internal feedback, selecting appropriate imagery, basic image editing)

Required skills and experience:
Experience creating and promoting compelling and engaging content on a wide range of digital and traditional platforms
Strong copy-writing and editing skills
Strong analytical mind with the ability to turn complex information into compelling stories and content
Excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrable knowledge of the trade (content strategy, digital marketing)
3+ years or equivalent experience in a relevant communications, journalism, PR, marketing role
Fluency in written and spoken English
Excellent time management skills and an ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Meticulous attention to detail
An understanding of and desire to work proactively to promote environmental disclosure and action
