As Director of Finance and Services, you will play a key role in the ongoing business transformation of NCVO as well as contributing to the strategic leadership of NCVO. As part of our new leadership team and a director of our trading board, you will take lead responsibility for NCVO’s income generation and financial sustainability, including managing our largest financial asset - our building in King’s Cross.  You’ll lead our thinking on how to adapt commercially to a post Covid-19 world, making best use of our technology and assets, identifying new opportunities for sustainable growth and impact. Working alongside our members and our corporate partners. you’ll also lead and shape the future of the services that we provide to our growing body of 15,000 members, helping us to refocus our digital services offer as we shift to different models of delivery.

This is a fantastic challenge at a time of considerable change and uncertainty. We’re looking for an experienced leader who can combine financial acumen and commercial awareness with an open and supportive style. As our lead financial professional you will have an accountancy qualification, allied with an ability to see the big picture, spot opportunities, and manage risk.  You will have considerable experience working at a senior level.  While we do not have preconceived ideas about what sectors the successful candidate will have worked in, it is essential that you have an understanding of and passion for the voluntary sector.

You’ll be comfortable with change, and able to inspire the confidence of staff, trustees and other stakeholders at all levels, and from all backgrounds. Like many organisations, at present, that includes being able to build and support teams remotely. We’re changing how we work in other ways too, and you’ll bring a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, as well as an open and collaborative approach that sees NCVO as part of a wider network for change.
