This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled coach and collaborator to work with a like-minded team of animal welfare advocates to transform the operations of a beloved charity with a rich history.

You’ll be tasked with enhancing our delivery capabilities across rehoming, whilst enhancing our culture and the connection we have with our people, making this the ideal role in which to make your mark.

So, if you have been looking for the chance to make a real difference and use your insight to strengthen a passionate team and make our charity even stronger on both the service and people sides, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As the Rehoming Service Delivery Partner, you will support and empower five - seven Rehoming Service Delivery Managers to provide an exceptional rehoming service for the animals in our care and take an integrated, one team approach.

You will also be tasked with ensuring a collaborative partnership is created with the People and Culture Directorate, working closely with the Rehoming Welfare & Training Standards, Rehoming Service Design and Behaviour Services teams.

Integrating structured changes and improvements across rehoming services related to all teams, you will have the chance to make a positive impact on our culture and personnel and will relish the challenge of doing so.

About You

To join us as a Rehoming Service Delivery Partner, you will need:

  • Significant operational leadership experience gained within an animal welfare or care environment
  • Experience of leading and coaching small teams
  • Previous experience of complex, multi-disciplinary stakeholder management within a matrix organisation

An animal welfare, care management or behaviour qualification would be beneficial to your application, as would a qualification in coaching, leadership or management.

Experience of leading in a commercial environment, delivering sustainable and financially balanced services would also be advantageous, as would experience of working within a matrix environment or within cross-sector groups and forums.

Other organisations may call this role Business Partner, Rehoming Operations Manager, Animal Welfare Manager, Animal Rehoming Business Partner, Animal Rehoming Operations Manager, or Animal Care Operations Manager.

Company

We help thousands of pets in need every month, providing veterinary care, expert behaviour help and find them loving happy homes, as well as advice and education for current or future pet owners and pet bereavement support. We develop lifelong relationships with pets and owners, providing quality care that is accessible and non-judgemental. With your support we can give back to more pets in need.

Pets change lives. We change theirs.

Our vision is that every pet will enjoy a healthy life in a happy home and we won’t rest until we achieve it. But we really need your help.

We care for around 40,000 pets every year but we know it’s not enough – there are many, many more out there who still desperately need us and we must be there for them.

  • £2 a day could keep a cat warm and safe at one of our centres
  • £20 could fund an unwanted horse’s basic hoof care
  • £136 could provide clinical care for a homeless dog during their stay with us
