Queen Alexandra College is a national specialist FE College and registered charity, offering inclusive educational provision and residential facilities for young people. The College has specialisms in Visual Impairment and Autism and many of our students have complex needs. Our mission is to create challenging learning opportunities for our students to realise their potential to work and to live independently.
QAC has an ambitious 5 Year Strategy to develop and expand our offer across Curriculum, Residential and Community Services. We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance and Resources, to help deliver this agenda and ensure QAC continues to thrive, within the current challenges and funding context for the sector.
Reporting to the Principal and Chief Executive, you will be a qualified accountant and senior leader, with Board-level experience – ideally within FE and/or third sector organisations. Working with the Board, Principal and Chief Executive and wider management team, you will need to have strong business planning and analytical skills; able to maintain financial control and sustainability, and build organisational capacity to support opportunities for growth within a complex funding environment. A highly effective communicator, with a collaborative approach and sense of humour, we welcome applications from those who identify with our Mission and QAC Values and can make a positive difference to our leadership team.
For enquiries about the post please contact Bev Jessop, Principal and Chief Executive on 0121 803 5340/5344, or for an informal discussion with the current post holder please contact; Rob Semple on 0121 803 5335.
Applications close at 4.00 pm on Thursday 3 December 2020.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by email after the closing date. Initial interviews (which may be held remotely) on 9 December 2020, with final shortlisted candidates invited to interview on 16 December 2020.
