Would you like to be part of a well-respected Midlands charity and have the opportunity to shape its future?

Castel Froma Neuro Care is looking for a Trustee to join its Board of Trustees. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant and lasting difference to individuals living with a neurological condition.

This role would suit a range of people, from young professionals looking to broaden their leadership experience, to senior or retired professionals looking to give something back to their local community.

OUR ORGANISATION

Our mission is to run outstanding care and rehabilitation centres, providing long-term and respite services for people with neurological conditions. Our aim is to provide the highest standard of nursing care for individuals with conditions such as acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease, and Huntington’s disease, all whom have complex and unique needs.

Castel Froma Neuro Care is a standalone registered charity based in Royal Leamington Spa providing care and permanent accommodation for over ninety residents with complex neurological conditions across our two care centres.  We take pride in the specialist care provided to our residents and the sound governance of the organisation.

THE OPPORTUNITY AND WHAT’S INVOLVED

As a Trustee, you will share collective responsibility for the effective development and direction of Castel Froma Neuro Care. The Board and the Senior Management team work very closely to set the strategic direction for the charity and ensure that it is delivered effectively. The Trustees participate in board decision making and specialist sub-committees, as well as providing advice and support to the Senior Management team.

Trustees have the opportunity to shape the work of Castel Froma Neuro Care and have a positive impact on individuals living with a neurological condition in the UK.  You will gain valuable personal development from first-hand experiences of working at a strategic level in a large charity and working alongside highly experienced trustees and executive staff from a range of backgrounds.

In gaining an in depth understanding of how an organisation with a £7m turnover operates and adapts to change there will be the opportunity to develop your experience in board level governance, corporate risk management, strategic planning, finance, marketing, leadership and management capabilities.  As a new Trustee you will develop a comprehensive understanding of a sector which may be new to you, together with the transferable skills and expertise required to conduct the role successfully.

You will receive a full induction and training for the role of Trustee, as well as the opportunity to be mentored by an experienced trustee.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We welcome interest from anyone with the appropriate skills to strengthen our Board.

The ideal candidate would need to be able to make a commitment to the charity, have strategic vision, good independent judgement and an ability to think creatively.

Where applicable candidates should refer to any experience in the following disciplines:

  • Branding, marketing and public relations;
  • Information technology, data management and online media; and
  • Clinical experience or experience of residential and/or social care.

It would be an advantage to have experience of an oversight role in a charitable or public sector organisation.

Castel Froma Neuro Care is committed to improving the diversity of the Board and believes that representation is important to reflect the diverse communities that we serve. We welcome applications from women, individuals with a disability and/or individuals from a minority ethnic background.
