This is also an important outward facing role for the IOP, where you will manage key stakeholder relationships and form strong partnerships across the Physics Community.
The Director of Science, Innovation and Skills will provide an executive lead on the design and delivery of the IOP’s programmes of work. You will support the Executive Team in delivering an impactful policy programme, the development of membership and will provide an executive lead on managing the IOP's business cycle including programme impact measurement.
As the Director of Science, Innovation and Skills, you will bring demonstrable experience in a leadership position within the science community to drive the delivery of innovative programmes. Ideally, you will have experience at a senior leadership level in a relevant organisation, such as Higher Education, Research Funding or Research Councils, preferably with demonstrable technical expertise in one of the Physical Sciences. You will be a strong people manager with solid negotiating, relationship-building and influencing skills.
