Our client, an MS charity, makes sure people living with MS are at the centre of everything they do. And it’s this commitment that unites them across the UK.

Their work is based on the hopes and aspirations of their MS community. Together they campaign at all levels, fund ground-breaking research and provide award winning support and information.

Their people are their greatest asset and the key to their success. They offer a vibrant, progressive environment where you will make a difference.

About this job

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a hardworking, creative and supportive press office that secures regular national media coverage on issues from disability benefits to MS research developments. They are looking for a tenacious, proactive Press Officer to join the team and help them meet their ambitious goals.

You will produce impactful and emotive media coverage to promote fundraising campaigns. Crucially, you’ll be brilliant at telling people’s personal stories and selling them in to media. You’ll also support press work around the organisation's research programme and policy and campaigning activities.

The chosen candidate will have relevant experience (such as a press office, PR agency or journalism), and be comfortable managing competing priorities as part of a busy team. You’ll have a strong news sense, excellent writing and communications skills and a positive attitude.

The charity offers 27 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), travel loan and various other benefits such as supported developmental opportunities.

The charity is in the midst of an exciting, transformational, period which builds on their great history and will drive them towards achieving their mission and vision as they embark on their new 5 year strategy.

Part of this exciting transformation will include an office move from their current National Centre in Cricklewood, NW London to a different location in London. They are currently defining where and what type of accommodation this will be and they really want their staff to be involved in that decision.

Closing date: 9am on Friday 13th November 2020
