I am currently looking for a Project/Portfolio Support Officer for an amazing youth charity. This 3-month role will see you supporting the Transformation Portfolio Office Manager, Project Executives and Project Managers.
Main duties:
To work with the Transformation Portfolio Office Manager to provide a portfolio management function across the Transformation portfolio, monitoring delivery of the initiatives that are designed to deliver against the strategic plan.
To work with the Transformation Portfolio Office Manager to ensure all strategic programmes and projects are started up with appropriate governance structures in place, and that documentation such as project initiation documents and RAID logs are set up in accordance with overall guidelines set by The team.
To co-ordinate scheduling and use of resources, flagging any capacity issues.
To support benefits identification and realisation.
To analyse data including financial information and produce reports for senior managers that provide a high-level overview and flag key issues.
To be responsible for maintaining central project and programme records in shared folders.
To support meetings, including preparation of papers, taking notes and minutes, and chasing actions.
To help promote and embed best practice project and programme management throughout the charity, including supporting workshops.
To support individual workstreams as required, including supporting the creation of documentation such as programme and project plans and risk registers.
To work with the project executives and project managers to provide support on the Transformation portfolio of strategic initiatives.
To help create and be responsible for maintaining project documentation, such as project initiation documents, project plans and risk registers.
To monitor project delivery against plan, including timescales, budget and quality.
To co-ordinate scheduling and use of project resources, flagging any capacity issues.
To help develop and promote fit for purpose project management processes and documentation for use across the charity.
To analyse data including financial information and produce reports for senior managers that summarise key issues.
To be responsible for maintaining central project records in shared folders.
