Location: The Nest hub in Peckham and across the London Boroughs of Southwark as required
Contract: Until the end of May 2021 with the possibility of extension
Salary: £28,000 pro-rata
Hours: 20 hours per week
Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity delivering over 500 projects each year, many of which support young people to achieve their goals through meaningful interventions which amplify their voice and increase their involvement in volunteering and social action.
As part of Groundwork’s expanding Youth programme, we are recruiting a part-time Wellbeing Coach to support our innovative open access mental wellbeing service, The Nest in Southwark.
The service aims to improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people by ensuring all children and young people across the borough:
- Know where to go if they need mental wellbeing support
- Are able to access support quickly
- Feel empowered to make informed decisions about their mental health.
Funded by Southwark Council and delivered by Groundwork London, The Nest uses a blend of therapeutic interventions and coaching to support young people with their mental health.
The part-time Wellbeing Coach will have the knowledge and the experience to deliver therapeutic interventions as well as having an understanding of the barriers and challenges facing children and young people who are seeking mental wellbeing support. You will have the ability to engage and work with a range of young people many of whom will require support for multiple wellbeing needs.
You will be adept and skilled at providing remote and face to face interventions, and be able to develop and encourage mental wellbeing self-management in both one-to-one and group work settings. You will work closely with the families and carers of children and young people to help them support their wellbeing and build positive relationships with community stakeholders.
Closing date for applications: 9am on 16th November
Interview date: 19th/20th November date (Interviews will be conducted remotely)
