Who will I be working for?

Dove House Hospice is a dedicated person centred service supporting patients with life limiting illnesses to live every moment. Whether improving the quality of life of a patient or caring for an individual at the end of their life there are a range of services and support, including therapies, available all within a peaceful, homely and caring place.

We aim to continuously develop and provide the best service and support, having recently received the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For award, placing within the top 10.

To help create a better society and enrich lives, we’ve created a community lottery providing a professional and ethical income tool for a network of hospices and charities to achieve their goals.

We are now looking for a part-time Lottery Collections Agent to provide the most effective customer service to regular subscriptions supporters in Hull and East Yorkshire.

What will I be doing?

As a Lottery Collections Agent, you will provide an effective and efficient collection service to Lottery Supporters. This work must always be carried out in line with organisational and Lottery policies and meet the requirements of regulatory bodies. 

You will play a proactive role in the promotion, marketing, and sales of Lottery and Fundraising activities to both Lottery supporters, as well as prospective Lottery supporters. We want to ensure current Lottery supporters receive the very best service and that we also extend this same level of service to new and potential supporters too. 

You will act as an Ambassador for Dove House Hospice and our Lottery partners, doing the upmost to take care of, and enhance, our reputation in our community and beyond. We will want you to not just be our external face and voice, but contribute to ways in which we can always improve our offering by providing your ideas and community feedback to make a real difference and keep moving us forwards.

What skills and experience will I need?

To be considered as a Lottery Collections Agent, you will need:

  • Previous customer service and customer facing experience 
  • Previous door-to-door collections and/or community facing experience on behalf of an organisation (ideally, a charity)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow and adhere to regulatory guidelines 
  • A full, valid driving licence

Please note, this is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week.
