Our client, a national charity, has a 1 year maternity cover available, for an experienced Grants/Contracts professional. They are looking to appoint a Performance Manager, whose role will be to achieve high performance levels and meet grant and contract expectations by managing, monitoring and capacity building subcontractors, enabling them to achieve contractual, financial and performance targets. This opportunity offers flexible working and 30 days annual leave.
Key responsibilities of this Performance Manager:
* leading monthly performance review meetings with subcontractors
* supporting financial monitoring and management, quality assurance and compliance activity, working with other teams
* contributing to wider aspects of programme management
* building and maintaining effective relationships with programme commissioners
The main thing the hiring manager is looking for is someone that is used to being hands on with sub contractor performance management around large long running complex government/institutionally funded programmes. The ability to manage and drive performance improvement in grant or contract activity through subcontractors/partners will be key to delivering on your remit. Demonstrable experience is expected when it comes to understanding working in performance, commissioned or contract management frameworks. Experience of business planning, budget preparation, budget management and managing multiple project priorities is also essential. You will be using quantitative and qualitative information to assess performance progress. Your stakeholder engagement skills are incredibly important as you will be working closely with other performance managers, various teams and external partners.
