We are excited to announce that having successfully been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are looking for two Development Officers, one to work across the North and one to work across the South West. Both positions will support the Project Manager in improving and growing our Volunteer Visitor project. This user led project builds on the LA’s longstanding peer mentoring service that’s been operating for over 20 years.

You will have at least 2 years’ voluntary sector experience, experience of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, the ability to build strong professional relationships and experience of marketing using a variety of different media tools.

The successful candidates will have experience of working with volunteers and a good understanding of relevant legislation for volunteering as is a good understanding of the issues and challenges facing volunteers.

We are particularly interested in applicants with experience of developing and delivering a service in a healthcare setting and operating in a user led environment.

The successful person will have a positive can-do attitude and a real understanding of the limb loss community and sector. This is a really exciting project and we are at a pivotal point in taking it to the next level.

In return, we offer the opportunity to work in a fantastic supportive team, excellent terms and conditions and a commitment to develop all our staff to do the best job they can.

Applications from candidates who have experienced limb loss are particularly welcome.
