The Careers & Enterprise Company was established in 2015 to help link schools and colleges to employers, in order to increase employer engagement for young people. Our mission is to prepare and inspire young people for the fast-changing world of work.

This is an exciting time at The Careers & Enterprise Company. During our first three years, we have worked with Local Enterprise Partnerships to build a national network which now links 2,000 schools and colleges to employers. We have also funded 150 programmes to provide high-quality employer engagement activities to young people where they are needed most.

The Enterprise Adviser Network is the backbone of the CEC’s operations through which we deliver to all our schools. As a Regional Lead you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight, contract management and implementation of the Enterprise Adviser Network (EAN) and Careers Hubs in your area. The Regional Lead will provide advice, support and challenge, working with the Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP) and Combined Authorities (CA) to ensure that the EAN/Careers Hubs are implemented successfully and quickly delivers impact.

As a Regional Lead you are the face of the company in your region and a critical part of this role is supporting the LEPs and stakeholder management. Engaging local stakeholders to empower and enable the EAN in your region and being the voice of your region in the company. As the primary relationship holder for LEPs across the region you will be proactive in identifying risks, have the ability to deal with potential conflicts and deploy strategies to resolve them.

The Regional Lead should be proactive in determining what is needed by each local area and act accordingly, making the Company aware of local needs and solutions. The post is home based but will require travel on a regular basis across the geographic area and to the CEC offices in London on a weekly basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with local partners enabling them to transform outcomes for young people.

The successful candidate will be looking after the below regions / LEPs:

Area: North East
LEPs: North East, Tees Valley, York & North Yorkshire and Leeds

Our organisation has a privileged opportunity to make a difference to the lives of millions of young people, helping to inspire and prepare them for the fast-changing world of work, and we want you to help us make it happen.
