We are working with a with a well-known awarding body based in the North West of England to recruit a Data & Risk Manager, the successful candidate will have strong GDPR and data protection knowledge.

Main duties for the Data & Risk Manager:
Deliver a GDPR programme, working closely with external DPO
Design, implement and lead a global risk management strategy for the organisation
Manage all trademarks and intellectual property risk
Ensure senior management remain informed of regulatory and legislative changes
Manage internal compliance checks and periodic reviews
Ensure the organisation is Audit ready
Assist with any legal and compliance matters relating to acquisitions

Experience and criteria required for the Data and Risk Manager:

Extensive GDPR knowledge and experience
In-depth understanding of managing regulatory risk, would be desirable
Understanding of relevant legal concepts including intellectual property and trademarks
Experience of managing internal audit procedures
Excellent attention to detail with good communication skills
Ability to provide professional advice to others, resulting in risk mitigation and management
