We are looking for an exceptional Digital Transformation Manager to join Latin American House and help us to transform the way we communicate and engage with our audiences, deliver practical support to our beneficiaries and share one to one and group information about our services, activities and events. You will develop, improve, promote and support all our digital elements.

Our teams provide a range of services including specialist advice and information, children and adult education and cultural activities and events.

Our charitable work focuses on providing accessible, efficient and practical support to disadvantaged Latin Americans and other communities in greater London and beyond.

Given the nature of our charity it is imperative that you have at least an intermediate level of Spanish, both written and spoken.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Position

You will be a pivotal member of the team, enhancing the overall external and internal communications, helping us to reach and support more people and expanding the digital presence of our projects. You will be key in boosting and improving our brand name and in our pursuit of reaching to and supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable Latin Americans and Portuguese and Spanish speakers in Greater London and the UK.

You will have hands-on experience creating, designing and managing winning websites, digital campaigns and SEO, and have excellent technical and technological skills, with the ability and willingness to test, improve and share your knowledge constantly. You will be a self-starter who can shape the way LAH communicates, reaches to and helps our communities. You will lead LAH digital communications and ensure we deliver an excellent customer service online at all times.

The key areas for which you will be responsible are:

  • ●  Create accessible, useful and user friendly digital content for our audiences in order to achieve and excel organisational objectives and support our communities.

  • ●  Create, design, deliver and manage a winning website that represents Latin American House and its communities and projects for the next 5-8 years.

  • ●  Develop appropriate and good quality content to support all digital activities.

  • ●  Automate all current and new online services, including accessing our services and

    contacting us; signing up for and sending our newsletter; hiring spaces at LAH; enrolling and signing up for activities, classes and webinars; accessing and submitting feedback and monitoring forms; making online payments, etc.

  • ●  Develop, implement and manage a Digital Marketing Strategy

  • ●  Develop and implement a Digital and Social Media Policy.

  • ●  Ensure all content is optimised for all types of devices, particularly smartphones.

  • ●  Merge and unify our social media channels and develop new ones.

  • ●  Oversee LAH website’s CMS, creating, managing and keeping the site optimised and

    updated at all times, and ensuring team members are comfortable editing and updating it when necessary.

  • ●  Streamline all our on-line activities and operations, from classes, information and webinars to online class enrolments and payments, feedback forms, etc.

  • ●  Supervise content production across the team

  • ●  Analyse and report regularly on website and social media performance, monitoring

    and analytics, creating actionable insight and improving digital effectiveness.

  • ●  Work with the Director and all the teams at LAH

  • ●  You will be accountable for and support at least one volunteer.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience

    Essential

  • ●  At least three years experience in web design delivery and digital marketing

  • ●  Demonstrable experience creating, delivering and managing websites and social

    media channels.

  • ●  Able to understand objectives and deliver optimisation.

  • ●  Comprehensive knowledge of SEO.

  • ●  Excellent attention to detail.

  • ●  First class communication skills in English and Spanish.

  • ●  Autonomous, confident and self-starter with a can-do attitude and approach.

  • ●  Passionate about digital, technology and technological developments.

  • ●  Strong project management and organisational skills.

    Desirable

  • ●  Experience working in the charity sector and VCOs.

  • ●  Experience delivering training.

  • ●  Knowledge of the challenges faced by the Latin American communities in the UK.

  • ●  Solid working knowledge of IT, supporting organisations improving and

    transforming their IT.

  • ●  Awareness and understanding of Data Protection.

            Skills
            Essential

  • ●  Bilingual English-Spanish speaker, or Portuguese-English speaker with advanced Spanish language skills.

  • ●  Solid knowledge of IT applications associated with web design delivery, CMS and web editing (i.e. WordPress, Joomla) preferably at programming level.

  • ●  Strong development skills in HTML and CSS. Knowledge of additional languages, tools and software are welcome.

  • ●  Highly literate and numerate, including G Suite, email marketing applications such as Mailchimp, social media and other relevant online tools.

  • ●  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • ●  Ability to prioritise work.

  • ●  Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • ●  Ability and willingness to learn and apply new skills quickly.

    Desirable

  • ●  Experience developing and managing IT systems, databases and CRM systems.

  • Qualifications

  • ●  An academic or vocational qualification in computer science, web design or development or equivalent is prefered

  • ●  Formal training in digital tools and processes are desirable.

About Latin American House

We work for the integration, social inclusion and wellbeing of Latin American and other Spanish and Portuguese-speaking migrants, as well as other communities in our local neighbourhood. Our aims are to improve their lives, to provide a local Community Centre and to promote the rich diversity of Latin American cultures. We are expanding our organisation and diversifying our income streams in order to provide a better and more comprehensive service to our beneficiaries. We are a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee.

Our services include:

• Legal and Social Welfare Advice, providing specialist advice on immigration, as well as general information on benefits and employment. In 2019 we also started a EU Settlement Scheme project to support disadvantaged and at-risk Latin Americans and their families.

• Children’s Education, which currently consists of our bilingual Menchú Nursery and the Spanish Saturday School for children from 5 to 11 years old.

• Adult Community Learning, in partnership with local authorities, colleges and recognised education organisations, as well as our own volunteers. We provide practical adult education for Latin Americans and local residents.

• Community Centre, LAH is a well-established centre where people can come for activities, information and orientation.

• Culture - promoting and showcasing Latin American cultures, for people of all ages and backgrounds. From 2019 there is a dedicated culture coordinator.

The last three years have been of expansion and growth and we have had an increasing number of beneficiaries, clients and visitors reaching our organisation.
