Plan International UK is a global children’s charity with over 80 years’ experience working to deliver and protect children’ rights across the world and to address gender inequality; we are the global experts on girls’ rights.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Major Donor Officer to join the high-growth and innovative Philanthropic Partnerships team, which is responsible for all major donor, trust and foundation relationships and income.

In the role you will contribute to sustaining and increasing income from individuals, working to a six-figure income target. This will include independently managing a portfolio of existing donors and delivering excellent account management and stewardship. A significant part of your role will focus on identifying, researching and engaging new prospects, and you will also be responsible for delivering and supporting on a range of cultivation and stewardship events.

The focus of this role is:

  • To contribute to sustaining and increasing income from individuals by working to a six-figure income target
  • To independently manage a portfolio of existing donors, delivering excellent account management and stewardship
  • To work with the Prospect Researcher to identify, research and engage new prospects

You will need experience of face-to-face fundraising and managing and prioritising a portfolio of donors. You will also have the proven ability to meet or exceed financial targets and secure gifts from existing donors and prospects.
