Recruitment during COVID-19 restrictions

During the COVID-19 restrictions, our interviews will be by video call.

This is a great opportunity to join a new team from the very beginning. You’ll be able to shape and influence a strategic stream of work for the UK’s leading homelessness charity.

About us

Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

We’re building a new Venture Studio. The Venture Studio will provide an entry point to engage the start-up community, Crisis staff, Crisis’ members and supporters in ending homelessness through entrepreneurship. We will support start-ups to do more to end homelessness directly with our direct expertise and through our network of partners.

We already run a network of businesses including shops, cafes and furniture restoration. We are now looking to support start-ups in other sectors to help end homelessness.

About the role

This is an exciting new position in our ambitious and expanding Enterprise & Innovation department. We’re committed to finding more innovative solutions to ending homelessness.

You will be responsible for developing and managing all relevant partnerships for the Venture Studio. This includes forming mutually beneficial partnerships with corporates, universities, individuals and other organisations supporting start-ups. You’ll also be responsible to identify new opportunities for partners to support and engage with the Venture Studio activities.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be driven by our values (inspiration, integrity, dignity, fearlessness through independence, adaptability, resolve to end homelessness). You will have experience working within an entrepreneurial setting. You can build and maintain partnerships at senior level across diverse sectors and organisations. You are experienced in building and delivering comprehensive partnership plans. You can build strong networks with relevant organisations and individuals.

Benefits

As a member of the team you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits including:

  • Interest free loans to purchase a train season ticket or a bike or for a deposit to secure a tenancy
  • Mandatory pension scheme, with an employer contribution of 8.5%
  • 25 days’ annual leave which increases with service to 28 days

Alongside our excellent staff benefits, we will support your ongoing development to build your skills, experience and career.

We value diversity, promote equality and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.  We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of homelessness.

Company

Crisis is the national charity for single homeless people. We work all year-round to deliver innovative services to help vulnerable and marginalised people get through the crisis of homelessness, fulfil their potential and transform their lives.
