We’re now looking for a Deputy Chief Executive Officer to support our organisations and play a pivotal role in driving GAVO forwards.

The Role

As the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, you will offer a key support provision to Stephen, our Chief Executive Officer, as well as our teams across a variety of areas. These include Community Development, Volunteering, Health and Social Care, Children and Young People, supporting people into employment through Communities for Work and Communities for Work + and GAVO’s Corporate Service.

You will be significantly involved in the strategic leadership of our organisation, our finance and resource management, collaboration and influencing practices, and governance.

About You

To be considered as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, you will need:

  • Experience of managing at a senior level in an organisation
  • Previous experience of managing staff teams and organisation activity across multiple locations
  • Experience of managing risk in an organisation
  • To be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be confident at public speaking
  • The ability to lead, manage, progress, review and evaluate multiple work streams
