Location: Groundwork London Chiswick and Islington offices, with a requirement to work across London, primarily in Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster (from home during Covid-19 social distancing measures
Contract: Fixed Term until Dec 2022
Salary: Circa 26.5K
Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Groundwork London’s innovative integration programme is growing. Our projects aim to support migrants and refugees to integrate into life in the UK, through a programme of holistic activities including, language, employment support and cultural / community activities. We are seeking a Senior Outreach and Community Officer to join our team to co-lead both outreach and community activities in West London.

As someone with outreach or community engagement experience, you will have a strong understanding of the challenges refugee and migrant communities face in London. You will have proven experience of building strong relationships with refugee and migrant communities and other organisations and service providers that are supporting migrant communities in London.

The postholder’s role will introduce, register and support clients throughout the individual’s time on the project, and design and facilitate cultural and community activities, to support social integration. These activities will be varied and could include arts & crafts, cooking, gardening and online social activities.

You will be an excellent written and verbal communicator, who enjoys working within a multi-disciplinary team to support the project clients. You will have experience in working towards targets and deadlines and will excel at managing your own workload. Attention to detail, secure data management and understanding of confidentiality are all essential to the role.
