Under the leadership of a new Chief Operating Officer with an extensive background in the commercial sector, we are seeking a dynamic Head of Finance.

As Head of Finance you will lead the Finance team to deliver an outstanding service to the wider organisation, providing high quality financial stewardship through efficient processes and systems, effective policies and controls, and timely and accurate reporting.  In partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, you will also lead the provision of financial information, effective cost management and financial assessment of new initiatives.

As a qualified accountant, you will excel at leading change with empathy and collaboration and in a way that builds a high level of engagement and momentum with both the Finance team and our internal stakeholders.  With a keen eye for detail and a pride in financial stewardship, you will have the commitment and drive to deliver against deadlines and a genuine passion for our work.

Children always belong in families. They need protection, encouragement, play, laughter and love.  They need somewhere to call home and someone who will always look out for them.  Children never belong in orphanages.   Orphanages don’t protect children, they harm them.   You can help us keep families together, reunite families and build new families.

Our staff continually tell us what they value about working at Hope and Homes for Children: its open, friendly culture; the support and the flexibility they receive and the opportunity to be part of a fantastic cause that is changing the lives of children and bringing awareness to the lifelong effects of growing up in an institution.

This is a full time role with flexibility around your location, however you will be required to be at HHC’s main office at East Clyffe, Salisbury, SP3 4LZ on a regular basis. Ideally this will be approximately two days a week, but may be in a flexible pattern.

Closing date for applications:  30th September, although we may close early depending on the quality of application.  Interviews will be scheduled via video conferencing in early October.

To apply, please take a look at our job pack and if you have the skills and experience we need, upload your CV and a cover note (max 500 words) outlining how your skills and experience match our requirements and why you are suitable for the role.
